Uroš Maver is the head of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine. He is a member of the Slovenian pharmaceutical society, is part of the consortium in the European Innovation Partnership for Active and Healthy Ageing. Research topics, in which he is active with his research team, are: in vitro preclinical models (model materials, cell cultures, functional cell models etc.), surface functionalization for achievement of bioactivity, drug delivery systems, tissue engineering and wound healing, as well as molecular resolution microscopy, especially atomic force microscopy in life sciences.
