3D X-ray nanomicroscope

The Zeiss Xradia Versa 620
Zeiss, Germany

The Zeiss Xradia Versa 620 3D X-ray nanomicroscope for advanced digital visualisation of the shape and internal structure of a wide range of material samples with the ability to segment different phases with submicron resolution. This enables the study of biological samples, polymers, metals, and other materials and metamaterials. Additional functionality is provided by an in-situ system for quasi-static mechanical testing of samples using compression and tensile tests to investigate the deformation of samples under mechanical loading.

The purchase was cofinanced by the Ministry of education, Science and Sport (Republic of Slovenia) and the European fund for regional development.

Automatic Franz Diffusion Cell System

Logan Sytem 912-6,
Logan Instruments Corp., USA
A standard system designed to simulate transdermal and topical administration routes, as well application on open wounds. It enables use in applications, where it is necessary to test in smaller volumes (5 to 15 mL)

Automated fluorescence microscopy with stage-top cell culture incubation

Leica DMI6000 B coupled with DMC6200 camera, automated stage and Okolab stage-top cell culture incubator

The Leica DMI6000B inverted microscope with automated stage and Okolab stage-top cell culture incubator provides high-resolution live cell imaging and tracking through a combination of brightfield, phase contrast, and epifluorescence imaging of samples. It enables time-lapse imaging with spatial stitching of acquired high-resolution images in the XY direction, as well as z-stacking for 3D analysis of samples. The Okolab stage-top incubator provides well-controlled cell culture conditions for long-term preservation of biological samples within the microscope, making the system ideal for tissue differentiation experiments and other biomedical applications.
