Assist. Dr.
Tanja Zidarič

Post-doctoral researcher

A microbiologist who, after a tangle of circumstances, ended up in the field of (bio)sensing and tissue engineering. She develops and studies new strategies for the design of biosensors for the detection of biologically important analytes, as well as artificial models of native tissues to better understand biological processes. In her work she tries to combine acquired knowledge in the fields of microbiology, sensorics and tissue engineering to create new biomedical applications. During her doctoral studies, she worked for a year as a visiting scholar at University of California San Diego.
